Architecture & structure

Traditional Hand-Carved Chola Architecture (All-Granite)

Built on a 51-acre tropical sanctuary on the banks of the Wailua River. Iraivan Temple is constructed entirely out of white granite hand-carved in Bengaluru, India, and assembled in Hawaii without any machinery, steel, or reinforced concrete. Features carved stone balls spinning inside lion mouths.

Dress code & guidelines

Strict traditional modest temple attire required. Men must wear Sarongs or Dhotis with shirts. Women must wear Sarees, Anarkalis, or loose long skirts with covered shoulders. Shorts, tank tops, tight pants, and western casuals are not permitted.
