Goddess Sati's left palm fell into the sacred waters of Lake Mansarovar at the foot of Mount Kailash. Created from the mind ('Manas') of Lord Brahma, Lake Mansarovar is worshipped as the supreme cosmic water body where the gods descend to bathe during Brahma Muhurta.
