9.54.1

अ॒स्य प्र॒त्नामनु॒ द्युतं॑ शु॒क्रं दु॑दुह्रे॒ अह्र॑यः | पय॑: सहस्र॒सामृषि॑म् ||

AFTER his ancient splendour, they, the bold, have drawn the bright milk from The Sage who wins a thousand gifts.

9.54.2

अ॒यं सूर्य॑ इवोप॒दृग॒यं सरां॑सि धावति | स॒प्त प्र॒वत॒ आ दिव॑म् ||

In aspect he is like the Sun; he runneth forward to the lakes, Seven currents flowing through the sky.

9.54.3

अ॒यं विश्वा॑नि तिष्ठति पुना॒नो भुव॑नो॒परि॑ | सोमो॑ दे॒वो न सूर्य॑: ||

He, shining in his splendour, stands high over all things that exist- Soma, a God as Sūrya is.

9.54.4

परि॑ णो दे॒ववी॑तये॒ वाजाँ॑ अर्षसि॒ गोम॑तः | पु॒ना॒न इ॑न्दविन्द्र॒युः ||

Thou, Indu, in thy brilliancy, pourest on us, as Indra's Friend, Wealth from the kine to feast the Gods.
