9.49.1

पव॑स्व वृ॒ष्टिमा सु नो॒ऽपामू॒र्मिं दि॒वस्परि॑ | अ॒य॒क्ष्मा बृ॑ह॒तीरिष॑: ||

Poust down the rain upon us, pour a wave of waters from the sky, And plenteous store of wholesome fbod.

9.49.2

तया॑ पवस्व॒ धार॑या॒ यया॒ गाव॑ इ॒हागम॑न् | जन्या॑स॒ उप॑ नो गृ॒हम् ||

Flow onward with that stream of thine, whereby the cows have come to us, The kine of strangers to our home.

9.49.3

घृ॒तं प॑वस्व॒ धार॑या य॒ज्ञेषु॑ देव॒वीत॑मः | अ॒स्मभ्यं॑ वृ॒ष्टिमा प॑व ||

Chief Friend of Gods in sacred rites, pour on us fatness with thy stream, Ppur down on us a flood of rain.

9.49.4

स न॑ ऊ॒र्जे व्य१व्ययं॑ प॒वित्रं॑ धाव॒ धार॑या | दे॒वास॑: शृ॒णव॒न्हि क॑म् ||

To give us vigour, with thy stream run through the fleecy straining-cloth For verily the Gods will bear.

9.49.5

पव॑मानो असिष्यद॒द्रक्षां॑स्यप॒जङ्घ॑नत् | प्र॒त्न॒वद्रो॒चय॒न्रुच॑: ||

Onward hath Pavamana flowed and beaten off the Rākṣasas, Flashing out splendour as of old.
