वरु॑णो मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा स्मद्रा॑तिषाचो अ॒ग्नय॑: | पत्नी॑वन्तो॒ वष॑ट्कृताः ||
Varuṇa, Mitra, Aryaman, Agnis, with Consorts, sending boons, To whom our Vaṣaṭ! is addressed:
8.28.3
ते नो॑ गो॒पा अ॑पा॒च्यास्त उद॒क्त इ॒त्था न्य॑क् | पु॒रस्ता॒त्सर्व॑या वि॒शा ||
These are our guardians in the west, and northward here, and in the south, And on the cast, with all the tribe.
8.28.4
यथा॒ वश॑न्ति दे॒वास्तथेद॑स॒त्तदे॑षां॒ नकि॒रा मि॑नत् | अरा॑वा च॒न मर्त्य॑: ||
Even as the Gods desire so verily shall it be. None minisheth this power of theirs, No demon, and no mortal
8.28.5
स॒प्ता॒नां स॒प्त ऋ॒ष्टय॑: स॒प्त द्यु॒म्नान्ये॑षाम् | स॒प्तो अधि॒ श्रियो॑ धिरे ||
The Seven carry seven spears; seven are the splendours they possess, And seven the glories they assume.
