1.49.1

उषो॑ भ॒द्रेभि॒रा ग॑हि दि॒वश्चि॑द् रोच॒नादधि॑ | वह॑न्त्वरु॒णप्स॑व॒ उप॑ त्वा सो॒मिनो॑ गृ॒हम् ||

E'EN from above the sky's bright realm come, Uṣas, by auspicious ways: Let red steeds bear thee to the house of him who pours the Soma, juice.

Come, O Uṣas, by auspicious paths even from above heaven's shining realm; let the red-hued steeds bear you to the house of the Soma-presser.

Uṣas descends 'bhadrebhiḥ' from 'rocana' to the somin's gṛha. Domestic yajña receives cosmic dawn—gṛhastha space as worthy guest-hall for the goddess.

Invite clarity into the workplace and home deliberately—create conditions where insight is welcome to arrive.

1.49.2

सु॒पेश॑सं सु॒खं रथं॒ यम॒ध्यस्था॑ उष॒स्त्वम् | तेना॑ सु॒श्रव॑सं॒ जनं॒ प्रावा॒द्य दु॑हितर्दिवः ||

The chariot which thou mountest, fair of shape, O Uṣas light to move,— Therewith, O Daughter of the Sky, aid men of noble fame today.

The fair, easy chariot you mount, O Uṣas—with that, daughter of heaven, aid today the people of noble renown.

'Supeśas sukha ratha' conveys aid to 'suśravasaṁ janam'. Dawn's grace is asked specifically for those whose fame rests on worthy hearing—ethical reputation.

1.49.3

वय॑श्चित् ते पत॒त्रिणो॑ द्वि॒पच्चतु॑ष्पदर्जुनि | उष॒: प्रार॑न्नृ॒तूँरनु॑ दि॒वो अन्ते॑भ्य॒स्परि॑ ||

Bright Uṣas, when thy times return, all quadrupeds and bipeds stir, And round about flock winged birds from all the boundaries of heaven.

Bright Uṣas, when your seasons return, bipeds and quadrupeds stir, and winged birds flock from the ends of heaven.

Ṛtu-aligned awakening: 'nṛtūn anu'—according to her times—all dvipat, catuṣpad, and vayas move. Cosmic clock of Uṣas governing ecology of life.

Honor seasonal and daily rhythms in scheduling; living systems—and humans—thrive when timed with natural returns.

1.49.4

व्यु॒च्छन्ती॒ हि र॒श्मिभि॒र्विश्व॑मा॒भासि॑ रोच॒नम् | तां त्वामु॑षर्वसू॒यवो॑ गी॒र्भिः कण्वा॑ अहूषत ||

Thou dawning with thy beams of light illumest all the radiant realm. Thee, as thou art, the Kaṇvas, fain for wealth, have called with sacred songs.

Dawning with your rays you illumine the whole radiant realm; you as you are the Kaṇvas, eager for wealth, have invoked with sacred songs.

Full illumination of 'rocana' by raśmi; Kaṇvas 'vasūyavaḥ' call her 'gīrbhiḥ'—desire for vasu framed by stotra, not crude greed.

Pair ambition with praise and clarity—seek resources while illuminating the whole field, not grabbing in the dark.
