अ॒यं वां॒ मधु॑मत्तमः सु॒तः सोम॑ ऋतावृधा |
तम॑श्विना पिबतं ति॒रोअ॑ह्न्यं ध॒त्तं रत्ना॑नि दा॒शुषे॑ ||
AŚVINS, for you who strengthen Law this sweetest Soma hath been shed. Drink this expressed ere yesterday and give riches to him who offers it.
O Aśvins who increase ṛta, this sweetest pressed Soma is prepared for you; drink this juice set aside from before, and grant jewels to the generous offerer.
'Ṛtāvṛdhā'—strengtheners of cosmic order—drink 'madhumattama' Soma and bestow 'ratna' on the dāśuṣ. Reciprocity of yajña: pure offering invites durable treasure, not whim.
Invest your best energy in what upholds fair order; durable rewards follow consistent, quality contribution.

त्रि॒व॒न्धु॒रेण॑ त्रि॒वृता॑ सु॒पेश॑सा॒ रथे॒ना या॑तमश्विना |
कण्वा॑सो वां॒ ब्रह्म॑ कृण्वन्त्यध्व॒रे तेषां॒ सु शृ॑णुतं॒ हव॑म् ||
Come, O ye Aśvins, mounted on your triple car three-seated, beautiful of form To you at sacrifice the Kaṇvas send the prayer: graciously listen to their call.
Come, O Aśvins, on your triple, three-seated, beautifully formed chariot; the Kaṇvas make sacred speech for you in the rite—hear well their call.
The 'trivandhura / trivṛt' ratha encodes triadic completeness. Kaṇva 'brahman' (mantra-power) at the adhvara seeks attentive divine śravaṇa—hearing as grace.
Design invitations that are clear, beautiful, and complete; people and opportunities respond to well-formed calls.
1.47.3
अश्वि॑ना॒ मधु॑मत्तमं पा॒तं सोम॑मृतावृधा |
अथा॒द्य द॑स्रा॒ वसु॒ बिभ्र॑ता॒ रथे॑ दा॒श्वांस॒मुप॑ गच्छतम् ||
O Aśvins, ye who strengthen Law, drink ye this sweetest Soma juice. Borne on your wealth-fraught car come ye this day to him who offers, ye of wondrous deeds.
O Aśvins, strengtheners of ṛta, drink this sweetest Soma; then today, O wondrous workers bearing wealth on your car, approach the offerer.
Dasra (wonder-workers) arrive 'adya'—this very day—on a vasu-bearing ratha. Vedic immediacy: divine help is petitioned as present, not only mythic past.
Translate aspiration into today's concrete ask and today's concrete gift; deferred goodwill rarely moves the needle.

त्रि॒ष॒ध॒स्थे ब॒र्हिषि॑ विश्ववेदसा॒ मध्वा॑ य॒ज्ञं मि॑मिक्षतम् |
कण्वा॑सो वां सु॒तसो॑मा अ॒भिद्य॑वो यु॒वां ह॑वन्ते अश्विना ||
Omniscient Aśvins, on the thrice-heaped grass bedew with the sweet juice the sacrifice. The sons of Kaṇva, striving heavenward, call on you with draughts of Soma juice out-poured.
O all-knowing Aśvins, on the thrice-strewn barhis sprinkle the sacrifice with honey-sweetness; heavenward Kaṇvas with pressed Soma call you.
Viśvavedas Twins anoint the yajña with madhu upon triṣadhastha barhis. Kaṇvas 'abhidyavaḥ'—aspiring toward heaven—model upward orientation of ritual consciousness.
Prepare the ground carefully (thrice-heaped effort), then sweeten collaborative work so aspiration has a place to land.

याभि॒: कण्व॑म॒भिष्टि॑भि॒: प्राव॑तं यु॒वम॑श्विना |
ताभि॒: ष्व१स्माँ अ॑वतं शुभस्पती पा॒तं सोम॑मृतावृधा ||
O Aśvins, with those aids wherewith ye guarded Kaṇva carefully, Keep us, O Lords of Splendour: drink the Soma juice, ye strengtheners of holy law.
With those protections by which you guarded Kaṇva, O Aśvins, protect us too, Lords of splendour; drink Soma, strengtheners of ṛta.
Lineage memory: the same 'abhiṣṭi' that saved ancestral Kaṇva is requested for descendants. Śubhaspatī—lords of auspicious beauty—link aesthetics of light with ethical shelter.
Reuse proven supports. What protected your mentors and elders can often be adapted for present risk if gratitude keeps the channel open.
1.47.6
सु॒दासे॑ दस्रा॒ वसु॒ बिभ्र॑ता॒ रथे॒ पृक्षो॑ वहतमश्विना |
र॒यिं स॑मु॒द्रादु॒त वा॑ दि॒वस्पर्य॒स्मे ध॑त्तं पुरु॒स्पृह॑म् ||
O Mighty Ones, ye gave Sudās abundant food, brought on your treasure-laden car; So now vouchsafe to us the wealth which many crave, either from heaven or from the sea.
O wondrous ones who bore wealth on the car to Sudās, bring us nourishment; grant us from ocean or from heaven the treasure many desire.
Historical echo of Sudās's aid expands into cosmic sources: 'samudrād uta vā divaspari'—abundance from deep and high. Maghavan-like generosity attributed to Aśvin ratha.
Diversify sources of support—local networks and wider horizons—rather than depending on a single stream of opportunity.
1.47.7
यन्ना॑सत्या परा॒वति॒ यद्वा॒ स्थो अधि॑ तु॒र्वशे॑ |
अतो॒ रथे॑न सु॒वृता॑ न॒ आ ग॑तं सा॒कं सूर्य॑स्य र॒श्मिभि॑: ||
Nāsatyas, whether ye be far away or close to Turvaśa, Borne on your lightly-rolling chariot come to us, together with the sunbeams come.
O Nāsatyas, whether you are far away or among the Turvaśa, come to us on your well-rolling chariot together with the sun's rays.
Divine omnipresence in kinship geography: far 'parāvati' or near Turvaśa clans. Arrival 'sākaṁ sūryasya raśmibhiḥ' joins Aśvin grace to solar clarity.
Help can come from unexpected locations; stay open to allies who arrive with clarity even if they are not physically near.

अ॒र्वाञ्चा॑ वां॒ सप्त॑योऽध्वर॒श्रियो॒ वह॑न्तु॒ सव॒नेदुप॑ |
इषं॑ पृ॒ञ्चन्ता॑ सु॒कृते॑ सु॒दान॑व॒ आ ब॒र्हिः सी॑दतं नरा ||
So let your coursers, ornaments of sacrifice, bring you to our libations here. Bestowing food on him who acts and gives aright, sit, Chiefs, upon the sacred grass.
Let your coursers, glory of the rite, bring you to our pressings; bestowing food on the doer of good, sit on the barhis, O heroes.
Aśvin steeds are 'adhvaraśriyaḥ'—ornament of harm-free sacrifice. 'Sukṛt' and 'sudānu' receive iṣ; seating on barhis completes guest-theology of the Devas.
Reward right action with presence and resources. Systems that feed ethical contributors become places people want to stay.
1.47.9
तेन॑ नास॒त्या ग॑तं॒ रथे॑न॒ सूर्य॑त्वचा |
येन॒ शश्व॑दू॒हथु॑र्दा॒शुषे॒ वसु॒ मध्व॒: सोम॑स्य पी॒तये॑ ||
Come, O Nāsatyas, on your car decked with a sunbright canopy, Whereon ye ever bring wealth to the worshipper, to drink the Soma's pleasant juice.
Come, O Nāsatyas, on the chariot with sun-bright covering, by which you always bring wealth to the worshipper for drinking the honeyed Soma.
'Sūryatvac' canopy—solar skin of the ratha—signals luminous conveyance of vasu. Habitual generosity ('śaśvat') defines Aśvin relationship with the dāśuṣ.
Build reputations for consistent delivery. Reliability under a clear 'canopy' of standards attracts lasting partnership.
1.47.10
उ॒क्थेभि॑र॒र्वागव॑से पुरू॒वसू॑ अ॒र्कैश्च॒ नि ह्व॑यामहे |
शश्व॒त् कण्वा॑नां॒ सद॑सि प्रि॒ये हि कं॒ सोमं॑ प॒पथु॑रश्विना ||
With lauds and songs of praise we call them down to us, that they, most rich, may succour us; For ye have ever in the Kaṇvas' well-loved house, O Aśvins, drunk the Soma juice.
With uktha and songs we call them near for help, the richly endowed; for in the Kaṇvas' dear hall, O Aśvins, you have always drunk the Soma.
Closing appeal to memory of the 'priya sadasi'—beloved Kaṇva assembly-hall—where the Twins habitually drank. Sacred space and lineage hospitality invite return.
Maintain welcoming institutions and shared spaces; communities that remember how to host become magnets for talent and care.
