Ye who observe this day be with us even thrice: far-stretching is you bounty, Aśvins and your course. To you, as to a cloak in winter, we cleave close: you are to be drawn nigh unto us by the wise.

Be with us even thrice today, O attentive ones; wide is your course and your gift, O Ashvins. We cling to you as to a cloak in frost; the wise know how to draw you near.

Ashvins as 'Navedasa' (heedful knowers) are asked for triple presence. 'Yantram himyeva vasasah'—clinging like a winter garment—images sharanagati: the twins are protective covering. 'Manishibhih' draw them near—buddhi mediates access to divine healers.

Seek help repeatedly and cling to what truly warms you in hard seasons. Wisdom knows how to invite reliable aid—not once, but in a sustaining rhythm.

1.34.2

Three are the fellies in your honey-bearing car, that travels after Soma's loved one, as all know. Three are the pillars set upon it for support: thrice journey ye by night, O Aśvins, thrice by day.

Three are the fellies on your honey-bearing chariot that follows Soma's beloved current, as all know; three pillars are fixed for grasping support; thrice by night and thrice by day you journey, O Ashvins.

Triadic ratha: three 'pavaya,' three 'skambhas,' thrice naktam/diva. 'Madhuvahana' car follows Soma's 'vena.' Sacred geometry of three saturates Ashvin lore—trivrit motion matching day's and night's needs. Cosmic ambulance of madhu on a known, public path ('vishva id viduh').

Design support with redundancy and rhythm: multiple load-bearing points, sweet purpose, and scheduled presence day and night—not a single fragile beam.

1.34.3

Thrice in the self-same day, ye Gods who banish want, sprinkle ye thrice to-day our sacrifice with meath; And thrice vouchsafe us store of food with plenteous strength, at evening, O ye Aśvins, and at break of day.

Thrice in the same day, O removers of blame, mix our sacrifice thrice today with honey; thrice swell for us strength-rich nourishments at evening and at dawn, O Ashvins.

'Avadyagohana' Ashvins thrice 'mimikshatam' yajna with madhu and thrice 'pinvatam' vaja-rich ishah at dosha and ushas. Healing twins sweeten the rite and nourish at sandhya poles—ethical cleansing (hiding/removing avadya) joined to physical replenishment.

Schedule restoration at the day's hinges—morning and evening—and sweeten disciplined work with genuine delight (madhu), not only grind.

1.34.4

Thrice come ye to our home, thrice to the righteous folk, thrice triply aid the man who well deserves your help. Thrice, O ye Aśvins, bring us what shall make us glad; thrice send us store of food as nevermore to fail.

Thrice journey to our dwelling, thrice among the vow-keeping people, thrice instruct the well-deserving as if in three ways; thrice bring us joy, O Ashvins, thrice swell imperishable nourishment for us.

Triple visitation to 'vartis,' 'anuvrate jane,' and 'supravye'—home, disciplined community, and worthy individual. Joy ('nandya') and 'akshara'-like ish show Ashvin gifts as lasting. Graded care: household, sangha, and sadhaka all receive the twins' circuit.

Serve at three scales: household, community of shared norms, and individuals who earn trust. Sustainable aid is repeated and multi-level.

1.34.5

Thrice, O ye Aśvins, bring to us abundant wealth: thrice in the Gods’ assembly, thrice assist our thoughts. Thrice, grant ye us prosperity, thrice grant us fame; for the Sun's daughter hath mounted your three-wheeled car.

Thrice bring us wealth, O Ashvins; thrice in the divine rite, thrice help our intellects; thrice grant good fortune and thrice renown—for the Sun's daughter has climbed your three-seated chariot.

Rayi, dhi, saubhagya, shravas—material, cognitive, fortune, and fame—asked in threes. Surya's daughter (often Suryā/Ushas-linked) mounts the 'trishtham ratham,' linking Ashvin aid to solar bridal/dawn mythology within Veda. Mind ('dhiyah') is explicitly protected—healers of buddhi as well as body.

Ask helpers to support wealth, thinking, fortune, and reputation together. When 'dawn' (new phase) boards the vehicle, holistic aid matters more than one metric.

1.34.6

Thrice, Aśvins, grant to us the heavenly medicines, thrice those of earth and thrice those that the waters hold, Favour and health and strength bestow upon my son; triple protection, Lords of Splendour, grant to him.

Thrice give us heavenly medicines, thrice earthly, thrice from the waters, O Ashvins; bring favor, peace, and triple refuge to my son, O lords of beauty.

Canonical Ashvin pharmacology: 'divyani bheshaja,' 'parthivani,' and medicines 'adbhyaḥ'—sky, earth, water remedies. 'Tridhatu sharma' for 'mamakaya sunave' personalizes the hymn as parental prayer. Shubhaspati twins embody Ayurveda's Vedic root: multilevel healing and sharma (refuge).

Heal on multiple planes—environmental/mental 'heavenly,' bodily 'earthly,' and emotional-fluid 'watery.' Parents and caregivers rightly seek layered protection for the next generation.

1.34.7

Thrice are ye to be worshipped day by day by us: thrice, O ye Aśvins, ye travel around the earth. Car-borne from far away, O ye Nāsatyas, come, like vital air to bodies, come ye to the three.

Thrice each day are you to be worshiped; thrice you circle the three-layered earth, O Ashvins. From the far distance, O Nasatyas, come by chariot to the three like breath entering its abodes.

Daily triple yajata; Ashvins 'pari ... prithivim' in tridhatu earth. Simile 'atma iva vatah svasarani'—as prana/atma-wind to its dwellings—makes the twins' arrival as intimate as breath. Nasatya presence is physiological: life-air returning to its homes.

Make restorative practices as regular and intimate as breathing. Help that 'circles the earth' still must arrive personally, like air into the lungs of daily life.

1.34.8

Thrice, O ye Aśvins, with the Seven Mother Streams; three are the jars, the triple offering is prepared. Three are the worlds, and moving on above the sky ye guard the firm-set vault of heaven through days and nights.

Thrice, O Ashvins, with the seven mother-rivers—three are the vessels, the offering made threefold; three are the earths—you guard from above the heaven's vault, established through days and nights.

Macro-triads meet Sapta Matarah Sindhavah: three ahava, tredha havis, tisrah prithivih, while Ashvins rakshathe the 'nakam' across dyu and aktu. Twin guardianship spans riverine Bharata sacred geography and cosmic vault—local waters and universal sky in one care.

Steward both local watersheds and the larger climate/sky commons. Nested scales of care—river, land-layers, firmament—belong in one ethic.

1.34.10

Where are the three wheels of your triple chariot, where are the three seats thereto firmly fastened? When will ye yoke the mighty ass that draws it, to bring you to our sacrifice. Nāsatyas?

Where are the three wheels of your triple car, where the three firm companion-seats? When comes the yoking of the vigorous ass by which you approach the yajna, O Nasatyas? Come, Nasatyas—the offering is called; drink madhu with honey-wise lips. Savitar sends your wondrous ghee-rich car before dawn for the sake of Rita.

Eager questioning seeks the ratha's cakras and bandhuras, and the 'rasabha' that draws Nasatyas to yajna. Savitar 'purvam ushasah' dispatches their 'ghritavantam' citra ratha 'ritaya'—solar stimulator aligning Ashvin arrival with cosmic order before dawn. Honey-lipped drinking seals the healing covenant.

Ask concretely when and how help will arrive—vehicles, seats, timing. Align assistance with early clarity (pre-dawn planning) and with ethical order, not last-minute chaos.

1.34.11

Nāsatyas, come: the sacred gift is offered up; drink the sweet juice with lips that know the sweetness well. Savitar sends, before the dawn of day, your car, fraught with oil, various-coloured, to our sacrifice.

Come here, O Nasatyas, with the thrice-eleven gods to the honey-drinking, O Ashvins; lengthen our life-span, wipe away infirmities, drive off hatred, and be our companions.

Ashvins arrive with 'tribhir ekadashaih' Devas (the thirty-three). Boons: 'pra ayus tarishtam,' 'ni rapamsi mrkshatam,' 'sedhatam dveshah,' 'sacabhuva'—longevity, cleansing of defect, removal of enmity, companionship. Complete Ashvin pastoral of health and social peace.

Invite help that extends life-quality, reduces harm, lowers hostility, and stays present as ally—not a one-dose transaction without relationship.

1.34.12

Come, O Nāsatyas, with the thrice-eleven Gods; come, O ye Aśvins, to the drinking of the meath. Make long our days of life, and wipe out all our sins: ward off our enemies; be with us evermore.

Bring us hitherward with your triple chariot, O Ashvins, wealth rich in good heroes; hearing you, I call loudly for help—be for our growth in the winning of strength.

Final ask: 'trivrita rathena' bring 'suviram rayim'; the poet 'johavimi' for avas; Ashvins should be for 'vrdhe' in 'vajasatau.' Healing twins culminate as growth-partners in the contest for vaja—medicine serving flourishing, not mere survival.

Close the loop from healing to growth. Aid should deliver not only relief but reinforced capacity and courageous people for the next challenge.
