१ वायुः, २-३ इन्द्र वायू, ४-६ मित्रावरुणौ, ७-९ इन्द्रो मरुत्वान्, १०-१२ विश्वे देवाः, १३-१५ पूषा, १६-२२, २३(पूर्वार्धस्य) आपः, २३(उत्तरार्धस्य), २४ अग्निः |
१-१८ गायत्री, १९ पुर उष्णिक्, २१ प्रतिष्ठा, २०, २२-२४ अनुष्टुप् |

ती॒व्राः सोमा॑स॒ आ ग॑ह्या॒शीर्व॑न्तः सु॒ता इ॒मे |
वायो॒ तान्प्रस्थि॑तान्पिब ||
STRONG are the Somas; come thou nigh; these juices have been mixt with milk: Drink, Vāyu, the presented draughts.
1.23.2
उ॒भा दे॒वा दि॑वि॒स्पृशे॑न्द्रवा॒यू ह॑वामहे |
अ॒स्य सोम॑स्य पी॒तये॑ ||
Both Deities who touch the heaven, Indra and Vāyu we invoke To drink of this our Soma juice.
1.23.3
इ॒न्द्र॒वा॒यू म॑नो॒जुवा॒ विप्रा॑ हवन्त ऊ॒तये॑ |
स॒ह॒स्रा॒क्षा धि॒यस्पती॑ ||
The singers' for their aid, invoke Indra and Vāyu, swift as mind, The thousand-eyed, the Lords of thought.
1.23.4
मि॒त्रं व॒यं ह॑वामहे॒ वरु॑णं॒ सोम॑पीतये |
ज॒ज्ञा॒ना पू॒तद॑क्षसा ||
Mitra and Varuṇa, renowned as Gods of consecrated might, We call to drink the Soma juice.
1.23.5
ऋ॒तेन॒ यावृ॑ता॒वृधा॑वृ॒तस्य॒ ज्योति॑ष॒स्पती॑ |
ता मि॒त्रावरु॑णा हुवे ||
Those who by Law uphold the Law, Lords of the shining light of Law, Mitra I call, and Varuṇa.
1.23.6
वरु॑णः प्रावि॒ता भु॑वन्मि॒त्रो विश्वा॑भिरू॒तिभि॑: |
कर॑तां नः सु॒राध॑सः ||
Let Varuṇa be our chief defence, let Mitra guard us with all aids Both make us rich exceedingly.
1.23.7
म॒रुत्व॑न्तं हवामह॒ इन्द्र॒मा सोम॑पीतये |
स॒जूर्ग॒णेन॑ तृम्पतु ||
Indra, by Maruts girt, we call to drink the Soma juice: may he Sate him in union with his troop.
1.23.8
इन्द्र॑ज्येष्ठा॒ मरु॑द्गणा॒ देवा॑स॒: पूष॑रातयः |
विश्वे॒ मम॑ श्रुता॒ हव॑म् ||
Gods, Marut hosts whom Indra leads, distributers of Pūṣan's gifts, Hearken ye all unto my cry.
1.23.9
ह॒त वृ॒त्रं सु॑दानव॒ इन्द्रे॑ण॒ सह॑सा यु॒जा |
मा नो॑ दु॒:शंस॑ ईशत ||
With conquering Indra for ally, strike Vṛtra down, ye bounteous Gods Let not the wicked master us.
1.23.10
विश्वा॑न् दे॒वान् ह॑वामहे म॒रुत॒: सोम॑पीतये |
उ॒ग्रा हि पृश्नि॑मातरः ||
We call the Universal Gods, and Maruts to the Soma draught, For passing strong are Pṛśni's Sons.
1.23.11
जय॑तामिव तन्य॒तुर्म॒रुता॑मेति धृष्णु॒या |
यच्छुभं॑ या॒थना॑ नरः ||
Fierce comes the Maruts’ thundering voice, like that of conquerors, when ye go Forward to victory, O Men.
1.23.12
ह॒स्का॒राद् वि॒द्युत॒स्पर्यऽतो॑ जा॒ता अ॑वन्तु नः |
म॒रुतो॑ मृळयन्तु नः ||
Born of the laughing lightning. may the Maruts guard us everywhere May they be gracious unto Us.
1.23.13
आ पू॑षञ्चि॒त्रब॑र्हिष॒माघृ॑णे ध॒रुणं॑ दि॒वः |
आजा॑ न॒ष्टं यथा॑ प॒शुम् ||
Like some lost animal, drive to us, bright Pūṣan, him who bears up heaven, Resting on many-coloured grass.
1.23.14
पू॒षा राजा॑न॒माघृ॑णि॒रप॑गूह्लं॒ गुहा॑ हि॒तम् |
अवि॑न्दच्चि॒त्रब॑र्हिषम् ||
Pūṣan the Bright has found the King, concealed and hidden in a cave, Who rests on grass of many hues.
1.23.15
उ॒तो स मह्य॒मिन्दु॑भि॒: षड् यु॒क्ताँ अ॑नु॒सेषि॑धत् |
गोभि॒र्यवं॒ न च॑र्कृषत् ||
And may he. duly bring to me the six bound closely, through these drops, As one who ploughs with steers brings corn.
1.23.16
अ॒म्बयो॑ य॒न्त्यध्व॑भिर्जा॒मयो॑ अध्वरीय॒ताम् |
पृ॒ञ्च॒तीर्मधु॑ना॒ पय॑: ||
Along their paths the Mothers go, Sisters of priestly ministrants, Mingling their sweetness with the milk.
1.23.17
अ॒मूर्या उप॒ सूर्ये॒ याभि॑र्वा॒ सूर्य॑: स॒ह |
ता नो॑ हिन्वन्त्वध्व॒रम् ||
May Waters gathered near the Sun, and those wherewith the Sun is joined, Speed forth this sacrifice of ours.
1.23.18
अ॒पो दे॒वीरुप॑ ह्वये॒ यत्र॒ गाव॒: पिब॑न्ति नः |
सिन्धु॑भ्य॒: कर्त्वं॑ ह॒विः ||
I call the Waters, Goddesses, wherein our cattle quench their thirst; Oblations to the Streams be given.
1.23.19
अ॒प्स्व१न्तर॒मृत॑म॒प्सु भे॑ष॒जम॒पामु॒त प्रश॑स्तये |
देवा॒ भव॑त वा॒जिन॑: ||
Amrit is in the Waters in the Waters there is healing balm Be swift, ye Gods, to give them praise.
1.23.20
अ॒प्सु मे॒ सोमो॑ अब्रवीद॒न्तर्विश्वा॑नि भेष॒जा |
अ॒ग्निं च॑ वि॒श्वश॑म्भुव॒माप॑श्च वि॒श्वभे॑षजीः ||
Within the Waters—Soma thus hath told me—dwell all balms that heal, And Agni, he who blesseth all. The Waters hold all medicines.
1.23.21
आप॑: पृणी॒त भे॑ष॒जं वरू॑थं त॒न्वे॒ ३ मम॑ |
ज्योक् च॒ सूर्यं॑ दृ॒शे ||
O Waters, teem with medicine to keep my body safe from harm, So that I long may see the Sun.
1.23.22
इ॒दमा॑प॒: प्र व॑हत॒ यत् किं च॑ दुरि॒तं मयि॑ |
यद् वा॒हम॑भिदु॒द्रोह॒ यद्वा॑ शे॒प उ॒तानृ॑तम् ||
Whatever sin is found in me, whatever evil I have wrought. If I have lied or falsely sworn, Waters, remove it far from me.
1.23.23
आपो॑ अ॒द्यान्व॑चारिषं॒ रसे॑न॒ सम॑गस्महि |
पय॑स्वानग्न॒ आ ग॑हि॒ तं मा॒ सं सृ॑ज॒ वर्च॑सा ||
The Waters I this day have sought, and to their moisture have we come: O Agni, rich in milk, come thou, and with thy splendour cover me.
1.23.24
सं मा॑ग्ने॒ वर्च॑सा सृज॒ सं प्र॒जया॒ समायु॑षा |
वि॒द्युर्मे॑ अस्य दे॒वा इन्द्रो॑ विद्यात् स॒ह ऋषि॑भिः ||
Fill me with splendour, Agni; give offspring and length of days; the Gods Shall know me even as I am, and Indra with the Ṛṣis, know.
